American Flag, pattern from Workbasket Magazine. Made in 1991, took about 65 hours. Dimensions are 15×8″, staff measures 16″. There are 50 stars on each side of the flag, each individually made and attached. Won 2nd place at the Arizona State Fair 1991.
Arizona Flag, original design. Made in 1996, took about 75 hours. Dimensions are 15 1/2 x 8″, staff measures 16″. Won 2nd place at the Arizona State Fair 1996.
Rose Doily, from Workbasket Magazine. I call this “My Mother’s Rose Garden.” Her favorite roses were yellow, so I put a yellow rose in the center. Each rose is made individually. Took about 50 hours and is 10″ in diameter. Won 1st place and a Special Lacemaking Award at the Arizona State Fair 1997.
Tatted Baby Cap. The roses around the bottom edge are made individually, took about 16 hours total. Item is currently available for sale.
Tatted Pansy. This is a 3D flower made up of five petals all worked together on a single, central ring. The pattern is from an old tatting book and is not well written, but the outcome is impressive. Takes about 8 hours to make.
Lace Edged Hanky. Pattern is Chain Reaction from Tatting with Visual Patterns by Mary Konoir. It is my favorite lace pattern, made up of all chains. This item was made with size 80 tatting thread. This pattern in size 80 thread takes about 2 hours per foot. In size 20 thread, it takes about 30 minutes per foot.
Tatted Heart Box. Pattern is the Daisy Heart from Workbasket Magazine. Another one of my favorite patterns, the two daisies are made up in one piece (no tying/cutting threads in between).
