002Rose Doily, from Workbasket Magazine.  I call this “My Mother’s Rose Garden.” Her favorite roses were yellow, so I put a yellow rose in the center.  Each rose is made individually.  Took about 50 hours and is 10″ in diameter.  Won 1st place and a Special Lacemaking Award at the Arizona State Fair 1997.

027Baseball Cap with individually made flowers attached.  Some flowers are 3D. Took about 8 hours including the hand sewing.  Won 1st place and a Special Lacemaking Award at the Arizona State Fair 1998.

Baby Cap

Tatted Baby Cap.  The roses around the bottom edge are made individually, took about 16 hours total.  Item is currently available for sale.

028Tatted Pansy. This is a 3D flower made up of five petals all worked together on a single, central ring.  The pattern is from an old tatting book and is not well written, but the outcome is impressive.  Takes about 8 hours to make.

023Lace Edged Hanky.  Pattern is Chain Reaction from Tatting with Visual Patterns by Mary Konoir.  It is my favorite lace pattern, made up of all chains.  This item was made with size 80 tatting thread.  This pattern in size 80 thread takes about 2 hours per foot.  In size 20 thread, it takes about 30 minutes per foot.

Heart Box
Heart Box

Tatted Heart Box. Pattern is the Daisy Heart from Workbasket Magazine.  Another one of my favorite patterns, the two daisies are made up in one piece (no tying/cutting threads in between).
